Farmers carry bags of salt on bikes during a harvest in the the salt production process August 13, 2009 in Sumenep on Madura island, Indonesia. The salt is produced when water is evaporated from salt water and the salt is then separated and crystallized. Ten tonnes of salt are produced for every 100 square meters. The with salt from Madura is then exported to Malaysia.
